The world's steepest dive coaster, Six Flags Fiesta Texas' Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger, is a 150-foot tall roller coaster with two vertical dives, the first at a world-record-breaking 95 degrees! Riders seated in a 21-passenger train will plummet to earth from 15 stories reaching speeds of 60 miles per hour. The coaster's 2,501 feet of track includes an Immelmann inversion, 270-degree zero-G roll, a second 75-foot near-vertical dive, an extreme airtime hill, banked turns, and a helix finale.
This attraction is added in celebration of Fiesta Texas' 30th anniversary. The story is that Dr. Diabolical has proclaimed to have an elixir from the fountain of youth that is capable of preserving life. She lures unsuspecting visitors to partake, but unbeknown to them she is using them to fulfill her evil plan to frighten the world with her menacing creatures. The purpose of the machine built by Dr. Diabolical is to harvest the essence of human adrenaline and fear in order to nourish her creatures. Once exposed, you shall forever, live in fear.
