Originally called Turn Of The Century, this roller coaster debuted with an out and back layout and two corkscrew inversions. Four years later, Great America added two vertical loops and two tunnels and renamed this roller coaster, Demon.

Demon Facts & History

May 29, 1976 – Turn of the Century opened at Great America along with its sister coaster at Six Flags Great America (Gurnee, IL).

1980 – 70-foot and 55-foot vertical loops were added and the coaster was renamed Demon.

Inversions: Two Vertical Loops, Double Corkscrew

Opening date: May 29, 1976

Train has six cars with two rows each, seating two abreast per row.

Height requirement: Riders must be at least 48 inches tall
