This is an exciting thrill ride, made even more thrilling by it's incredible location at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. Perched on the edge of a cliff, with breathtaking views of Glenwood Springs and the Colorado River below, is the Cliffhanger roller coaster. Manufactured by S.D.C. this "Hurricane" model has two trains and 1,430-feet of intertwined, twisted steel coaster track. This roller coaster is also notable since it's the highest elevation (7,100 feet) roller coaster in North America.

2012 – Thunderbolt relocated from Celebration City and renamed.

2008-2012 – Standing but not operating (SBNO)

October 25, 2008 – Celebration City and Thunderbolt close.

2003 – Renamed and reopened as part of Celebration City

2002 – In strorage

1999-2001 – Firestorm operated at Branson USA

1999 – Originally operated in Belgium and then relocated to Branson USA (Branson, MS)

Opening date: June 15, 2012

Estimated cost: $800,000

Train has three cars with two rows each, seating two abreast per row.

Height requirement: Riders must be at least 48 inches tall with an adult or 56 inches to ride alone
