Knoebels breathes new life into this classic ride with the opening of Black Diamond. This unique roller coaster has been rescued from Dinosaur Beach pier in Wildwood, New Jersey and brought to Elysburg, Pennsylvania where it has been restored and placed inside a newly built building. Black Diamond has an entirely new theme based on the history of coal mining in the surrounding area of Pennsylvania. Riders seated in four-passenger mine cars will ride through the three-story attraction and experience everything from cave-ins, floods, fires and more. Custom scenery, props, sound and special effects have been created to tell the story. Black Diamond is best described as a combination roller coaster and dark ride.
