Seated four-abreast in ski-lift style trains suspended from an overhead steel track, Afterburn sends riders on an adrenaline-packed flight through six inverting elements, including a rare "batwing" double inversion. This B&M inverted coaster debuted at Carowinds with a name and theme based on the blockbuster movie franchise Top Gun. It was later renamed Afterburn after Cedar Fair acquired the theme park from Paramount.
