Six Flags Fiesta Texas
San Antonio, Texas
Six Flags Fiesta Texas has been voted the #1 show park by the readers of amusement industry publication – Amusement Today. The park's entire show package was honored withGolden Ticket Awards for "Best Theme Park Shows" for ten consecutive years (1999-2008).
Built in the bottom of a rock quarry, the theme park focuses on southwestern music and culture. Fiesta Texas has six themed areas — Crackaxle Canyon, KIDZOPOLIS, Rockville, Spassburg, Fiesta Bay Boardwalk, and Los Festivales — each with outstanding live entertainment and a collection of thrilling amusement rides, shops and restaurants.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas' exciting lineup of rides, includes eight roller coasters and three water rides. Roller coaster fans will want to check out the 168-foot tall, floorless Superman: Krypton Coaster, the inverted, looping Goliath roller coaster and The Rattler, a rickety wooden coaster that travels through and a top the quarry walls. For fewer thrills, the Fiesta Texas Railroad takes riders on a tour through the park or the Crow's Nest Ferris Wheel affords riders a view from above and of the surrounding area.
For younger guests, the park's KIDZOPOLIS has five gentle rides, some of which parents may enjoy with their children.
New for 2012 is SkyScreamer, a 200-foot tall StarFlyer spinning ride that takes riders in two-seat swings high into the sky for a thrilling flight around the tower.
For those looking to escape the Texas summer heat, the included White Water Bay water park (open seasonally) has more than a dozen water slides, a lazy river, and wave pool that is shaped to resemble the state of Texas.
