Wild Adventures theme park in Valdosta features an exciting thrill ride collection, more than 500 wild animals, live shows, concerts, festivals and more. Attractions at the park include a collection of nine roller coasters, multiple flat rides and two water rides. For youngsters, Wild Adventures is the place to meet the popular kid's characters, Veggie Tales.
Operating seasonally is Splash Island Water Park that is included with admission to Wild Adventures. The water park has a 20,000 square-foot wave pool, plus a lazy river, speed slides, tube slides and a children's water play pool.
Wild Adventures is now owned and operated by Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation.
Park History
Wild Adventures was sold at an auction to the Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation in September 2007. The park was originally owned and operated by founder Kent Buescher who started the park in 1996 on a plot of farmland. What began as a small petting zoo has grown into a large theme park and adjoining water park.
