Universal Studios Florida is a Movie Theme Park where guests go beyond the screen and ride the movies. At this real working film and TV studio, an incredible array of rides, shows, movie sets and attractions put you right in your favorite scenes from your favorite movies. That's why Universal Studios Florida is the number one movie studio theme park in the world.
Universal Studios Florida is one of two theme parks at the Universal Orlando Resort. Also, see Universal's Islands of Adventure theme park.
Park History
Universal Studios Florida opened on June 7, 1990. The property was expanded again in 1999 with the addition of Universal's Islands of Adventure theme park, Universal CityWalk, on-site hotels and a parking structure. The entire resort was then renamed Universal Orlando Resort.
