Park History
Six Flags New England dates back to 1840 when the park opened as Riverview Amusement Park. In 2000, under the ownership of Premier Parks, Inc., Riverside was renamed and re-branded Six Flags New England. Today, the park's historic grounds and large collection of thrill rides continue to entertain the thrill-seekers of the Northeast.
