Canada's Wonderland is one of the best -attended seasonal theme parks in North America with more than 3 million guests visiting annually.
This combination theme park and water park is located minutes north of Toronto. At 330-acres, Canada's Wonderland is the largest theme park in Canada and offers more than 200 attractions, including an impressive lineup of 60 amusement rides. The park's ride collection includes 15 thrilling roller coasters and the largest selection of flat rides for any park in the world.
The adjoining 20-acre Splash Works Waterpark is included with park admission and offers 16 water slides, a lazy river and the largest wave pool in Canada.
Canada's Wonderland theme park is owned and operated by Cedar Fair Entertainment based in Sandusky, Ohio.
Park History
Canada's Wonderland opened on May 23, 1981 after two years of construction. The park was eventually purchased by Viacom and re-branded Paramount Canada's Wonderland. In June 2006, Viacom sold the Paramount Parks chain to Sandusky, Ohio based park operator Cedar Fair and a year later the Paramount name was dropped reverting back to the original name, Canada's Wonderland.
