Knott's Soak City Orange County is a 13-acre water park located across the street from Knott's Berry Farm theme park.
This family water park offers 21 water rides and attractions that are all themed after the surf woodies and longboards of the 1950s Southern California coast.
Knott's Soak City's body and tube slides vary from tame to thrilling. Guests looking for thrills will find the most extreme slides on Old Man Falls tower. Here three body slides named Pipeline, Point Break and Riptide offer single riders a high-speed 62-foot descent in two open and one enclosed flumes.
The newest water attraction at the park is Pacific Spin. Hop on an inner tube and ride down a 32-foot long tunnel that drops 75 feet into a six-story funnel with 5,500 gallons of swirling water. Pacific Spin ends with the riders exiting through a waterfall finale.
Other water rides at Knott's Soak City are Malibu Run - four 39-foot tall single-person inner tube slides that are both open and fully enclosed. Laguna Storm Water Tower - four single and double rider inner tube slides that descend from 43-foot high platform. And when it's time for a competition, Banzai Falls is a 41-foot high, six-lane speed slide where riders race head first down a lane while riding on a mat.
When it's time to cool off guests can catch a wave in Tidal Wave Bay. This 750,000 gallon wave pool generates crashing waves that you can float atop or attempt to body surf. You can also relax by taking a cruise down the Sunset River, a gentle flowing 1,700-foot long lazy river ride.
Knott's Soak City also offers the place for families to play and interact. The three-story Toyota Beach House playarea has 200 water guns, nozzles and sprayers. There are also two novice open flume water slides to ride.
Guests with young children will want to let them play in Greemie Lagoon, a children's pool and water playground.
Height requirements for the water slides vary from 42 to 48 inches. All-day lockers and inner tubes are available to rent. Guests can also rent a poolside cabana complete with wait service.
You'll also find a gift shop and when it's time to eat Knott's Soak City's two food facilities, Edison Electric Grill and Salty Dogs offer many popular options. Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant and TGI Fridays are also options just outside the park.
Knott's Soak City Orange County has two sister water parks, one in Palm Springs and another in San Diego and is owned and operated by Cedar Fair Entertainment.
