Celebration City is Branson's biggest nighttime, family attraction. This 112-acre, forty-million dollar, multi-faceted theme park highlights some of the most colorful and entertaining eras of 20th Century America.
The park entrance is Celebration Street with a vintage-style carousel and fountains. The Electric Boardwalk, with a boardwalk park atmosphere harking to the colorful days of trolley parks, features amusement rides, games and arcade adventure. The historic Route 66 area celebrates the 1950s and '60s era of shiny automobiles and drive-in diners with themed rides, shops and restaurants.
Celebration City has more than 30 rides and attractions, including the 8-story classic Ozark WildCat wooden roller coaster. At the conclusion of every night is the spectacular $3 million nighttime special effects show, Ignite the Night, with pyrotechnics, water cannons, gigantic video projections, and special effects.
Park History
Celebration City opened on May 1, 2003 on the site of the former Branson USA amusement park which closed at the end of the 2001 season. After being purchased by Silver Dollar City Corporation several million dollars was spent renovating the park to create a nighttime attraction.
