Cedar Point is a 364-acre amusement park/resort that is home to the largest collection rides and roller coasters in the world. Located in Sandusky, Ohio on a Lake Erie peninsula, Cedar Point is surrounded by water on three sides, providing an unusual resort atmosphere. With a heritage dating back to 1870, Cedar Point is the second oldest amusement park in North America. More than 3 million guests visit Cedar Point during the park's May to October operating season, making it one of the best-attended seasonal amusement parks in the country. The amusement park has a total of 68 rides, including 17 roller coasters and two water rides.
Adjacent to the park is the separate admission Cedar Point Soak City water park and Challenge Park, featuring miniature golf, go-karts and a 180-foot skycoaster.
