Bell's Amusement Park
Tulsa, Oklahoma
Bell's Amusement Park closed at the end of the 2006 season. The city of Tulsa decided not to renew the lease at the Tulsa Expo Square and instead evicted the park. Many of the amusement park's rides were placed into storage while the park searches for a new location in Tulsa to relocate to. Bell's classic wooden roller coaster Zingo was dismantled starting in February 2007 and has also been placed in storage. The park started in 1951 and in its final season this Tulsa family amusement park had grown to 10 acres and over 50 rides and attractions, including the state's largest wooden roller coaster. Bell's Amusement Park was formerly located at the Tulsa Expo Square fairgrounds.
Park History
Robert Bell started this amusement park with rides he created in his own front yard in 1951. Over the years the park relocated to the Tulsa Fairgrounds and grew to 10 acres with over 50 rides and attractions.
In 2006, Bell's Amusement Park lost its lease at the Tulsa Fairgrounds. During the winter the rides were removed and in February 2007, the signature Zingo roller coaster was dismantled and placed into storage. The Bell family is currently looking for a new location in the Tulsa area to relocate their amusement park. They hope to be able to reopen in 2008.
