Top 10 Coasters
Thunderbolt - Discovery Channel's video crew gets a "lift" to capture the world's favorite roller coaster in action. The Thunderbolt at Kennywood park in Pittsburgh, PA, is rated the No. 1 wooden coaster by members of the National Amusement Park Historical Association. Originally built in 1924 as The Pippin by legendary coaster designer John A. Miller, the coaster was rebuilt in 1968 by Andy Vettel and its unique 3,000 foot track and surprise elements have put it at the top of its class.
