Discovery Channel's 5th-Annual Thrills, Chills and Spills
In 2001 Discovery Channel aired an exciting line up including the premiers of three brand-new shows, produced by the same team behind some of Discovery's other wildly popular and highly rated roller coaster and amusement park shows.
New for 2001 were 30 Roller Coasters In 24 Hours?; More Top Ten Coasters; and Extreme Rides 2001. These special programs were made using lipstick-size cameras, custom audio mounts and specialized camera mounts to record exclusive footage on board the rides.
