"Sexual" Attraction Coming To The UK, But Why Use The "Theme Park" Term
By Eric_Gieszl on October 8, 2005
It's been announced in number of articles over the past couple of days that a "sexual" theme park is to be opened in London near Piccadilly Circus. The announcement claims this educational, multimedia attraction will teach visitors to become better lovers and provide valuable information about diseases and other sexual problems.
The project has support from sexual health organizations including: Sexual Dysfunction Association and AIDS charity The Terrence Higgins Trust
Alex Rayner, spokesman for the project, said it was "committed to avoiding the sleazy image that the sex industry usually conjures."

I find it odd that they use the term "theme park" with their announcement. The use of that term for some reason immediately slaps on a sleazy image in my mind.
Furthermore, the use in this case goes beyond the common definition of a theme park. The phrase "theme park" in no way implies an adult or sexual related attraction.
The term "theme park" also draws an immediate association with children. While sexual education is important with teenagers, it is in my opinion a poor choice of words to describe this attraction.
