Monticello, IN -- A slowing US economy hasn't kept visitors away from Indiana Beach Amusement Park this summer. The park reports that its campgrounds, accommodations and amusement park are bringing in record crowds and revenues in part due to a new roller coaster, special events and promotions.
"Revenues and guest visits are up substantially at our hotel, campground and amusement park", said John Collins, Indiana Beach Resorts General Manager. "The overwhelmingly positive response to our new Steel Hawg roller coaster coupled with new events like our Friday and Saturday night fireworks show, special discount admissions including CVS Buy One Get One Wednesdays and the new Two and Three Consecutive Day tickets have all lead to the increase."
In response to the record attendance, the park for the first time in its 84-year history will extend the 2008 operating season to include weekends in September and October.
"The Monster Beach Party during weekends in October and our Oktoberfest the last two weekends in September will give families additional chances to, as our advertising campaign says, "GO" to Indiana Beach", added Collins.
The resort is located on the shore of Lake Shafer in Monticello, Indiana and has two full-service RV resorts and campgrounds and on-site accommodations. Indiana Beach is owned and operated by Morgan RV Resorts who acquired the park earlier this year.
"Whether you are looking for a weekend getaway or a season long adventure, Indiana Beach Resort has what families are looking for", Collins said.
