Vauhan, Ontario -- Canada's Wonderland is auctioning off the first seats for the inaugural run of Canada's biggest, tallest and fastest roller coaster, Behemoth. The proceeds from this auction will benefit the The Children's Aid Foundation of York Region.
Behemoth the tallest, fastest and biggest roller coaster in Canada will make its debut on April 25 at Canada's Wonderland.
Now until April 22, 2008 roller coaster fans and philanthropists alike can place bids to be among the first riders on the new Behemoth roller coaster.
Winning bidders will get to be the first to ride Behemoth, and then enjoy a reception dinner, receive special gift from the park and receive a complimentary ticket for a friend to watch the first ride. Afterwards the winners along with their guests will be invited to stay and enjoy the park until 10:00 pm for Canada's Wonderland's Season Pass Sneak Preview Night.
The official opening will take place on Friday, April 25 at 4:00 pm. The highest successful bidder will select their seats on the first train and all others will have their seats assigned based on the bid amount.
Bids start at $100 and can be placed online or by calling The Children's Aid Foundation of York Region at (905) 738-8675.
Behemoth is the 15th roller coaster to be added to Canada's Wonderland. The ride is 1,615m (5,300 feet) in length and climbs to a height of 70.1m (230 feet). Riders must be at least 54 inches tall to ride Behemoth.
