Anaheim, CA -- Emergency officials responded to Disney's California Adventure theme park Friday to treat riders for minor injuries after two trains on the California Screamin' roller coaster collided.
According to city spokesman John Nicoletti 15 of the 48 people were hospitalized for treatment of minor injuries. Most of the riders were evaluated and released at the scene.
The accident described as minor occurred when one train failed to completely stop and bumped another just outside the loading platform.
State investigators were immediately sent to the scene. The roller coaster will remain closed until the investigation is complete.
