Lucasfilm Begins Work on New Star Tours Films
A source from Lucasfilm has leaked news to us that the company has come to an agreement with Disney to produce a new Star Tours ride film. According to the source the project is well underway. The new ride film is likely to be based on the pod racing scenes from the Phanton Menance movie. Also we have been informed that the new Star Tours films will premier at the Disney parks along with the second installment of the Star Wars films.

Passholders to Get First Rides On Son of Beast
Cincinnati, OH -- The most recent season passholder newsletter announced that 2000 passholders will be among the first to ride the new Son of Beast wooden coaster. According to the newsletter the park will hold a special event on April 9, 2000 exclusively for passholders before the coaster opens to the public.

Walt Disney World Begins Millennium Celebration
Orlando, FL -- The Millennium Celebration at Walt Disney World began last Friday, October 1 and the response from park guests has been fantastic.

According to guest reports the new nighttime spectacular "Reflections of Earth" at Epcot is exceptional. The new show replaces the popular "IllumiNations" show and uses twice as many fireworks shells.

The Millennium Celebration at the Walt Disney World resort runs now through January 1, 2001.

Fiesta Texas Begins Construction on New Coaster
San Antonio, TX -- Work has recently begun on a new roller coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. According to reader reports the track for the new coaster has arrived on site and some land clearing and site surveying has begun.

Park sources report that the new coaster is supposed to be a new Bolliger and Mabillard "floorless" coaster. The park has not confirmed the new coaster, but has said that an official announcement will be made within the next six to eight weeks.

Holiday World to Offer Unlimited Soft Drinks in 2000
Santa Claus, IN -- Beginning in the year 2000 Holiday World and Splashin' Safari will offer the unheard of "unlimited free soft drinks all day long at no additional charge." The park announced the offer on their web site and will offer free soft drinks with every admission.

Holiday World has also announced their 2000 season pass sale prices. Now through Sunday, October 10 you can purchase your season pass for $74.95 which includes unlimited free soft drinks.
