Kraken Construction Continues, Track Work Nearly Finished
Orlando, FL -- Work on Florida's new record-braking roller coaster Kraken at SeaWorld Orlando continues. According to a report from a member of the Florida Coaster Club the track work for the coaster is nearly finished. There are only a few more pieces left to be installed. The remaining work has to do with the extensive themeing. SeaWorld Orlando officials have announced that Kraken will open on June 1, 2000.
Work Begins On New Roller Coaster at Six Flags America
Largo, MD -- Construction on a new Intamin hypercoaster at Six Flags America has begun according to reports. All of the track and the steel supports for the new coaster have been delivered and work has begun. The new coaster is expected to be themed after the superhero Superman and an official announcement are expected in the near future.
Join The First Annual Coney Island Cyclone Celebration
Brooklyn, NY -- This fall the first-ever annual Cyclone Celebration will take place at Astroland Amusement Park to honor the world famous Coney Island Cyclone roller coaster.
The special afternoon event on September 10 will include unlimited rides on the Cyclone from noon until 4:00 p.m. Cost for the event will be $8.99 per person and will include unlimited rides on the Cyclone.

Silver Dollar City Expansion Phase To Include New Roller Coaster
Branson, MO -- Silver Dollar City future may include a major new roller coaster in the third phase of the expansion according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The phase called "Spirit of Discovery" mentions a $15-million roller coaster attraction tentatively named the Great Train Chase.
