Lake Compounce Employee Killed on Roller Coaster

Bristol, CT -- A 23 year-old employee of Lake Compounce was killed this morning after being struck by a train on the Boulder Dash wooden roller coaster. According to reports the unfortunate accident happened just after 8:30 a.m. during a normal morning test run of the coaster.

Park officials are unsure at this time why this happened, but stated that a full investigation is underway. The accident is under investigation by the park, Southington Police and State Fire Marshal's Office.
