Universal Orlando Offers Summer Passes For Florida Residents

Orlando, FL -- Florida residents can now enjoy an entire summer full of fun and adventure at Universal Orlando's world-class theme parks for one low price with new seasonal passes on sale now through July 31, 2001.

For $20 more than the price of one day's admission, guests can enjoy an action-packed summer at either Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure.

Guests wishing to spend their summer riding the movies can obtain an Action Pass for Universal Studios. Those who desire to live the adventure at Orlando's next generation theme park can purchase an Adventure Pass for Islands of Adventure. These passes provide daily admission, with no blackout dates, to either park from the date of purchase through Sept. 30, 2001 for $68 for adults or $59 for children (parking and taxes not included).

For the ultimate summer experience, a 2-Park Super Pass can be purchased for $40 more than the price of one day's admission. This pass provides daily park-to-park access through September 30, 2001 with no blackout dates for $88 for adults and $79 for children (parking and taxes not included).

All passes can be purchased at any on-property pass sales location.

The new Universal Orlando Florida resident summer passes are designed to offer value and - along with the Universal Express ride reservation system - a unique way to enjoy Universal Orlando through the summer.

At Universal Orlando, the new Universal Express program means that everyone who comes through the gates at the Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure theme parks will have quick, easy access, with little or no wait, to virtually all the destination's most popular rides and attractions.

Guests to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure will be able to experience new attractions or shows in each park. Animal Planet Live!, now at Universal Studios, integrates some of the world's most beloved animals with video presentations from Animal planet network's most popular programs such as "Emergency Vets," "The Planets Funniest Animals," "The Jeff Corwin Experience" and "Wild on the Set."

The incredibly popular Xtreme Xventure show returns to Islands of Adventure on June 10 for a second summer of pulse-pounding, extreme sport entertainment including jumps, spins, twists and turns performed by high-energy, daredevil athletes on bikes, skateboards and in-line skates.

In addition to thrilling rides and spectacular shows, Summer Pass-holders can ring in the Fourth of July with a dazzling array of fireworks at both theme parks. And on Aug. 24 and 25, pass-holders can experience Fiesta Caliente, now in its third year of bringing the colorful Latin extravaganza to Universal Studios.

Summer Pass-holders will also be able to experience the feel of blockbuster films such as Jurassic Park III, The Mummy Returns and Shrek through rides, shows or walk-around characters in both theme parks.
