Doswell, VA -- Spine-tingling attractions, ghastly creatures and menacing mazes await brave guests at FearFest, Paramount's Kings Dominion's spooktacular Halloween event, weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) October 16 through October 31, 2004.
This year, the bloody legend of Camp Crystal Lake comes to FearFest for the first time in Friday the 13th: Jason's Extreme Cuts, a multi-sensory homage to Paramount Pictures' blockbuster slasher saga, Friday the 13th. Narrated by one of Jason's unlucky victims, this 13-minute bloodbath will make guests screech and shrill in their Paramount Theatre seats.
Paramount's Kings Dominion also introduces Dracula's Haunted Castle, a deliciously dark and stormy ride into the Count's foreboding Transylvania fortress. In this motion-simulator movie experience with chilling effects, guests dodge a malicious mob of wraith-like wretches, ghastly guillotines, creaking caskets and fearsome phantoms.
In addition, this year's FearFest brings back everyone's favorite terror-filled haunts, including Freakshow in 3D, the Maze of Madness, Curse of the Crypt and the Blue Ridge Bloodbath. Brave guests can slither through three frightening fear zones-Center Stalkway, The Haunted Arbor and the Psycho Path-or shriek out a song at Skaraoke on International Street's Grande Bandstand. Challenge all your favorite Paramount's Kings Dominion attractions, too-Drop Zone Stunt Tower®; Rebel Yell(tm); Flight of Fear(tm); Volcano, The Blast Coaster(tm); HyperSonic XLC(tm)... all in the darkest "dead" of night!
Some FearFest attractions may not be appropriate for children. During daylight hours, age-appropriate FearFest fun awaits little ghouls and goblins in KidZville! Small spooks will have a monsterous good time with the Talking Pumpkin Head, located in the KidZville Gazebo. Trick or treat with your favorite Nicktoons(tm), explore the Hay Maze and the Witches Cave, then zap ghosts and collect points on Paramount's Kings Dominion's first interactive family ride, Scooby-Doo!(tm) & The Haunted Mansion.
All FearFest shows and attractions are free with general park admission or with a Season Pass. No costumes are permitted. Operating hours are 10:30 am -11:00 pm on FearFest Saturdays (October 16, 23 & 30) and 10:30 am - 9:00 pm on FearFest Sundays (October 17, 24 & 31).
This Halloween, give more than candy-give blood! The American Red Cross bloodmobiles will haunt the park's Main Gate from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm on Sunday, October 31. Each person who donates a pint of blood will receive a free general admission ticket to use for FearFest, or for a future visit to the park.
