Hurricane Closes Disney World Theme Parks

Lake Buena Vista, FL -- Disney closed its Orlando theme parks at 1:00 pm today as Hurricane Charley neared the state's west coast.

Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom and the resort water parks closed to give cast members and guests enough time to get off the roads. Disney's resort hotels remained open.

Disney plans to reopen the parks on Saturday.
