Dorney Closes Hercules to Make Way for New Attraction

Allentown, PA -- Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom announced that Hercules gave its final rides on Labor Day weekend. The monster sized wooden coaster will be raised to make room for an exciting new Bolliger & Mabillard floorless roller coaster for the 2005 season.

This huge undertaking requires two major phases that must commence immediately in order to complete the project:

1. The dismantling of the Hercules roller coaster
2. The construction of the new attraction

Activity on the plan has begun with crews already starting the task of dismantling Hercules.
