Jackson, NJ -- Six Flags Great Adventure announces "Winter Lights" a new, drive-through holiday adventure light show. "Winter Lights" will offer a fantastic 2.5-mile journey filled with custom-made, park-inspired light displays. It will feature eight sections including religious themes, a comical look at the "12 Days of Christmas," safari animals, a North Pole beach party and theme park rides.
Approximately 80 percent of the twinkling displays will be animated, including a 96-foot-long display of resident dolphins Sasha and Tamra from Six Flags Dolphin Discovery, nearly 80 feet of roller coaster-riding reindeer and a 75-foot-long display of Santa Claus riding the waves at Hurricane Harbor's Blue Lagoon wave pool.
Created by the country's premier light show company, Midwest Displays Inc. of Marion, Ind., "Winter Lights" will present more than one million lights in 188 sparkling displays.
At the show's exit, guests will be able to shop for holiday specialties and live Christmas trees, listen to holiday carolers, enjoy freshly brewed coffees and desserts, take pictures with Santa Claus and more. A complete description of the additional "Winter Lights" attractions will be available in mid-October.
"Winter Lights" will debut November 15 and operate nightly through New Year's Day.
