Knott's Becomes Knott's Merry Farm for the Holidays

Buena Park, CA -- Knott's the preferred holiday destination for families since the 1930s has begun its holiday celebration with the transformation into Knott's Merry Farm. Now through January 6 park-guests can enjoy the holiday decorations, shopping, dining and special entertainment.

New this year is "It's Christmas, Snoopy," a new holiday ice show starring the PEANUTS famous Beagle, presented in the Charles M. Schulz Theatre. This new show will be presented November 22-25, 30, December 1-2, 7-9, and December 14-January 6, except no performances on December 19, 25 and 31).

In the Bird Cage Theatre live performances of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol," O'Henry's "A Gift of the Magi" will presented daily and in the Wagon Camp you can see "Christmas Storytime."

Guests may also enjoy the after dark excitement of "Berry Merry Lights." From dusk until park closing hundreds of thousands of white and multicolored lights, adorning Knott's historic Ghost Town and Camp Snoopy, will merrily light up the nighttime sky.

Returning again is Knott's Christmas Crafts Village in the 1880's Ghost Town. Guests can explore one-of-a-kind treasures created by more than 100 artisans in a Victorian holiday wonderland of strolling carolers, musical groups, community choirs and lavish holiday decorations. Kids will also be thrilled to meet Santa Claus inside Santa's Animated Workshop, located in the Crafts Barn.

Every evening in Calico Square Knott's will present "Snoopy's Calico Christmas Celebration" starring Snoopy, Lucy and Charlie Brown. The PEANUTS gang will light a beautifully decorated Christmas trees before hosting a song-and-dance show complete with carolers, musical groups and a Christmas carol sing-along.

Knott's Merry Farm guests can enjoy all of the parks thrilling rides and attractions including GhostRider, Supreme Scream, VertiGo and Boomerang.

Knott's admission includes the Christmas Crafts Village and in-park shows and activities. Adult residents of Southern California zip codes 90000 through 93599, pay just $30 and kids 3-11 are just $15. For even merrier savings, guests can buy discounted tickets at Food 4 Less locations or pick up money-saving discount coupons at participating Carl's Jr. restaurants.

Admission to the Crafts Village is just $5 for adults and includes unlimited admission through Dec. 24, 2001 but excludes Theme Park admission. Village guests can enjoy the ice show, "It's Christmas, Snoopy," for a nominal fee.

Knott's opens daily at 10:00 a.m. with the exception of Christmas Day, December 25 when the park is closed to allow its employees to spend Christmas with their families.
