Tampa, FL -- After a month of modifications, Rhino Rally reopened yesterday. The event marked the completion of safety enhancements made following a minor accident on the land portion of the attraction June 26.
"Because the safety of our guests and employees is Busch Gardens' highest priority, we decided that Rhino Rally would not reopen until we were 100 percent sure that the cause of the incident had been determined and corrected and that guests' satisfaction with the new adventure remained high," said Robin Carson, Busch Gardens executive vice president and general manager.
The world's boldest off-road safari river adventure ride, Rhino Rally continues to receive rave reviews from guests who previewed the attraction over the past few days.
Rhino Rally features an eight-minute journey aboard customized Land Rovers bringing guests face-to-face with white rhinoceroses, elephants, Cape buffalo, Nile crocodiles, and other majestic African species.
While trekking through Rhino Rally, guests unexpectedly encounter a raging river, shifting the adventure from a safari to a wild water thrill ride. For more rhino rally information, visit www.rhinorally.com.
