Williamsburg, VA -- Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country USA today announced its launched a new Platinum Passport for the 2001 season that includes an extraordinary benefit for guests travelling throughout the United States. The Platinum Passport includes unlimited free admission to any Anheuser-Busch Adventure Park, excluding Discovery Cove, for two years.
According to Busch Gardens Marketing Vice President John Gillespie, the new Platinum Passport delivers unbeatable benefits for value-conscious consumers. The passport includes unlimited admission for two years, free parking and discounts on merchandise and food at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country USA. In addition, unlimited free admission to the other Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks is included. The Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks include SeaWorld Adventure Parks in Orlando, San Diego and San Antonio; Busch Gardens in Tampa and Williamsburg; Sesame Place in Langhorne, Pa.; Adventure Island in Tampa; and Water Country USA in Williamsburg.
"In the past, our passports have included discounted admission at other Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks, but never before in our history have we offered admission to eight theme parks for two years," Gillespie said. "This pass is about value and flexibility."
Platinum Passports can be purchased for $199.99 (adults) and $189.99 (children ages 3-6). Included in the purchase price is a 2001 Entertainment Book for the Richmond or Norfolk/Virginia Beach areas (while quantities last).
The parks' other 2001 passport programs include the Gold Passport for $120.99 (adults) and $100.99 (children 3-6) -- valid at both Williamsburg parks for one year and the Silver Passport for $94.99 (adults) and $74.99 (children 3-6) -- valid at either Busch Gardens Williamsburg or Water Country USA for one year.
