Hello All!

I have the key to the end of discussing the Boss cars... If you are interested in knowing, goto HTTP://CoasterPhreak.8m.com/Boss.html and read. You'll find something of interest there and go there and you'll say, "Oh" Is it open faced? Is it regular rolling stock? Better go look!

I still think its debatable...... by Iceman at 4/10/00 11:53:49 PM

After looking at the pictures I still dont think these are true open faced cars. Close yes but I still dont think they are open faced. This is just my opinion of course and many of you probably disagree. If it were truly open faced it wouldnt have all that stuff in the front. What do you think?

It's got a little more in the front, but I can't think of any 'classic' coaster car that had NO front at all. "Open-front" meant bars to hold onto and so you didn't fall out of the car onto the track (while loading, for example), but still could see through to the track in front of you.

As for the dictionary definition of open, here's a fitting one...

11 a : having openings, interruptions, or spaces: as

(1) : being porous and friable <~ soil>

There's a big difference between a front being open and a front being nonexistant. They're not "frontless" trains...

And you're not truly open minded either, are you? The probe is on....and the Iceman cometh!

Iceman i agree with you about the cars not being truely opened faced.

I agree... It isn't fully open front, but thats what they are calling open front, so thats what I meant by ending the debate... I don't think they should make something completely open faced because taller people need something to put their legs against... LoL. Well, think of how bad an accident you could have in you dropped something under one of the wheels! Even if this isn't considered open front, it's good enough for me!
