Okay I know the Grizzly has a reputation for being really rough. But is it the Grizzly at PKI or PKD that has the bad reputation???? Because I plan to visit PKD in June and I was wondering weather or not to avoid it.

"If at first you don't succeed dust yourself off and try again"- Aaliyah 2000

You guys probably don't know that song so nevermind...lol...

The Grizzley is located @ Paramount's Great America.. I would Vistit Kings island if you are looking for a good wood coaster. KI Having Five of them all good ones three of the five being designed by John Allen/PTC (Racer Forwards, Racer backwards, & Beastie) The Beast Created by Dinn (Formar Head of construction now of the Dinn Corporation) And Opening in 2000 Son Of Beast The newest masterpiece by Werner Stengle

PKI has no coaster named the Grizzly,

PKD's Grizzly was excellent to me! It starts out with the most depressing first drop and turn around you've ever ridden. But after that Grizzly is Probably one of the best woodies out there! Chuck

Yes, I know the song. If anything, the PKD Grizzly is the one coaster you want to ride all day and night long at PKD, It is still my favorite coaster at PKD (ride it in the back seat only) - even with the addition of the very good Volcano. PKD is a good park and you'll have a great time there! --K

Having done both Grizzlies, I would have to say that the PKD version is quite a bit smoother, though neither is what I'd call smooth. Also, I think that just by virtue of its location - surrounded and partly obscured by trees and forest, make PKD's Grizzly the better one. Word of warning, though - I rode the PKD one with a friend who is 6'4" and he said it banged the heck out of his knees due to not having enough leg room. Other than that it is IMO a good coaster.
