According to the park's Twitter feed:

"After almost 23 million riders and 29 years, Canada's Wonderland will be saying goodbye to the iconic stand-up looping roller coaster, SkyRider, on September 1, 2014."

Sad news for any TOGO fans out there. :)

She sure is in a prime location. Not sad to see her go.

Well, I guess it means Shockwave will have plenty more replacement trains/parts available.

I guess that I'm in the minority, but I didn't find Shockwave(KD) the other Togo Standing in North America anywhere near as bad as it's reputation.

Shockwave is not bad, but it sure isn't any GOOD either!

Shockwave holds more of a sentimental value for me. For me, it defined my Paramount days there, even though it was built long before that. I hope it stays. It's neon green will carry on the legacy of its fallen brethren.

My daughter and I rode the front seat of Skyrider last spring. It was actually a decent ride. There was only one moment of head banging. It was a lot better than I was anticipating. For me it was the best of the 3 TOGO stand up coasters that I've ridden. Really don't like the decision, but can understand why. At least they will have some land for a future coaster.

Looks like we will be seeing a new roller coaster in 2016. I'm sure Cedar Fair won't cheap out either.

Next they can replace Flight Deck. My head will really appreciate it.

I really enjoy the Togo stand ups. Shockwave is just kind of short though.

Skyrider is alive afterall! It has been put up for sale, and now it's sold to an unknown park. More than likely, it's overseas somewhere.
