Better? To say one is better is to actually imply the Mean Streak is GOOD.
It's rather rough -- late in the season, its even rough at 4 MPH -- with brakes on the first drop. Problem is, by the time you get to the finale (a run through its own superstructure) it's ponderous and *boring* because it's been slowed down so much.
But on the other hand, it's so danged pretty. It fools you into thinking you should give it another try each year.

Thats like comparing the Psyclone to Ghostrider!

Well, I can tell that Ghostrider has several elements I would not like if and when I get a chance to actually ride it.
On the other hand I have been on Mean Streak. It is one of the world's tallest, longest, and fastest woodies. It is bigger than Ghostrider and besides, Mean Streak is located at Cedar Point. On TOP of the world in Sandusky, Ohio. Mean Streak is better because CP RULES!!!!!!! ;-)? --K
Yea it was pretty much a joke, but I was expecting at least one person to give a serious reply. :-)
I probably shouldn't have posted it, since I seldom joke around, and I wasn't trying to make fun of the Ghostrider vs Roar post, because that was IMO a good comparison.
What made me do it was the Readers Poll on Thrillride. It has Ghostrider ranked #3 and Mean Streak ranked #4. That combined with the fact that alot of people on this board have given negative reviews of Mean Streak, made it tempting to post.

It's just like saying "Which would you rather prefer eating----FILET MIGNON or a big pile of DOGGIE POO!"
Ghostrider is the one of four wooden coasters that I believe has achieved perfection, while Mean Streak is continously working its way down to becoming CF's next Hercules.

Hi Dave hey how did the on ride footage of Goliath come out? You know you could always hit PGA, and Stealth (a must ride Wow) in the morning and into the afternoon, than go over the hill around 2pm to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, for some giant dipper Rides. You could always make a family day out of it if they like parks and coasters to? In any case it will be good to see you and your family.

Jim...GREAT IDEA...PGA morning and SCBB nitetime...didn't think i could hit both in a day... but it would be worth it, TOTALLY. :-)
And regarding the Goliath footage... Check out this site... i'm working on getting a permanent domain and server, but using this just for the time being. I haven't transferred any video to 1/2 inch *vhs* yet.
http://www.geocities.com/flaretime/Main.html It's got Goliath and Ghostrider p.o.v.'s... Quality is minimal due to server space... And i'll have my Boulder Dash page up Sunday afternoon.
Ditto on the hooking up in June, Jim! :-) Dave
