The Gatekeeper makes claims of records. Does it hold any meaningful records?

All I know is that Gatekeeper is growing on me, (much like it took Maverick to grow on me.) I love the huge elements taken at a slow pace, that is awesome. It's slowly becoming a favorite ride.
Right now tho, the favorite ride is Bluestreak. For a 50 year old woodie to be running so great is outstanding work by CP. What a great little out and backer, really running well the last few years with no shuffle or shaking, just doing what a good woodie should do. Great ride. My goal was to do 50 rides on Bluestreak this year, i'm at 17 so I should hit it. Enjoyed every ride so far all over the train (did a nickel in the back seat too!)

I think I know what that means, but for (some) old timers like myself it (probably) means something else entirely all while (probably) not meaning the back seat of a coaster!
LOL

Anyway, sounds like your nickel was fun. I haven't been to CP in (oh crap, it's multiple years) but I always enjoyed Blue Streak.

Nice post. Glad someone is giving Blue Streak some credit. It's not my favorite ride at Cedar Point, but I love Blue Streak. I always ride it multiple times when I visit. It was running great last year. It was always hold a special place for me. It was my first ever coaster that I rode at Cedar Point. It's just a very fun ride. I have a blast every time I ride it. Any seat is a good seat. I always get a front seat ride and a back seat ride.

MaBrider common man get your head out of the gutter.. :)

Nickel = 5 rides in a row..
Dime = 10 rides in a row..
follow me bro? haha!
I'm a hard core rider, we don't do just one ride when there is no line, it's always 5 or 10 then move on.. yeah!

Don't you love when that happens? Especially when it's a ride you love and/or don't normally get to ride multiple times.

Yeah, I knew what you meant.

What I meant had nothing to do with...
well, anyway, I was thinking "doing a nickel bag" which hasn't been relevant in 40 years or so.
And certainly not in my life since many years ago, either.

Just ramblings of an old man...with a good memory.
