New amusement park in Houston?

I just read that there are plans to build a new amusement park in a northeast suburb of Houston. The theme park is expected to open summer of 2015 and have 5 themed areas that represent Texas culture and history. The whole complex will eventually have a waterpark, a mall, and even a baseball field. The drawings of the park look very Disney like. Has anyone else heard anything about this or is this just a rumor?

^^^Yup, it's true. The name is Grand Texas Theme Park, which will be apart of the Grand Texas Sports & Entertainment District. It's been in the works since earlier this year.

Grand Texas announced that they aren't gonna bring in Greezed Lightnin' because it's too expensive. Too bad.

Saying that it costs to much to buy and install does not bode well for this new park's budget overall. I'm hoping that this doesn't turn out to be another low budget deal where they didn't account for all of the costs up front and end up shutting down in a year or two because they didn't fund themselves properly.

^^^I agree. A small shuttle coaster like that shouldn't cost all that much. Like you said, hopefully Grand Texas don't become another Hard Rock Park.
