I think I remember when I was in Vegas a couple of years ago seeing an advertisement for a roller coaster that enters water, you are enclosed in a tube and in the water around the tube is filled with sharks??? Does anyone remember this???

How could I not click this thread with a title like this.

I think you were looking at an ad for Atlantis in the Bahamas. Water slide that goes through a tank of sharks.

Kevin Reid

I believe there is also a water slide at the Golden Nugget in downtown Vegas that is clear and goes through an aquarium.

I concur. It always looked like fun. My grandmother had timeshare at another loacation on Paradise Island so we'd always be envious when we couldn't ride it since we weren't paying guests.

It was also much easier to sneak into the pool areas on the other, less spectacular casino resorts on New Providence.

I would say the closest thing you'd find to what you're thinking about is either Vanish in Japan or Anaconda at KD although neither really go "underwater".

Manta makes the illusion that you're skimming the water.

I'd love to see a company make a coaster that either

a) goes through an elongated, underground tunnel
b) a true underwater tunnel

Unfortunately, neither are really cost effective so I doubt we'll see them anytime in the future.

Maybe SFGA will surprise us...

Thank you both for your responses, I think I had the 2 confused together but looking at the Golden Nugget, I'm sure now that is what I saw. Great I'm sending my girlfriend there she loves roller coasters, lol User Submitted Picture

Circus circus's adventure dome is a must do [I recommend getting an all day pass and getting unlimited rides on all the rides there.
Unless you like the roller coaster at the NYNy casino, I wouldn't really recommend that as the 1 ride [with an option of a lesser priced reride] is too steep to justify it [the ride itself wasn't really that good].

I thought this was going to be something about Sharknado.
