NOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Ride em' when you can, while you can because you never know how long they're gonna stay in action. I can't believe some of the shockingly dumb responses from that papers' posters, many who seems clueless about coasters.

This is a serious question. I've never heard the word "Dania" spoken aloud. Is it pronounced "Dane-EE-ya," "Dane-EYE-ya," "DANE-ya," Or is it with a short "A" sound like in "Daniel?" Or am I missing the actual pronunciation among my choices?

What a dumb article. What exactly are they reporting? They report that it is closed, wow great work. I guess they thought people would just not care WHY it is closed. So stupid.

No info, so lazy, why even report it...

I'm sure like tomato (toe-may-toe/toe-mah-toe), potato (poe-tay-toe/pa-tah-toe), creek (crick), roof (ruff), monticello (mon-te-chello/mon-ta-cell-oh), norfolk (nor-fulk/nah-fuk) and various other words/cities/proper names... there are several ways people can and will articulate a thing... but fwiw, when living down there and building the DBH I generally heard Dania pronounced:

"DAY-knee-uh"

Peace.

Sad, sad news. The economy hit has been especially bad in Florida which is so dependant on tourism. When tourism money dries up, the whole states loses big time. There's one estimate I read a bit ago that believes between 20-25% of houses in Florida are vacant. That's not a good thing, and it looks like this great coaster has suffered from that.

Those in the FLCC all called it "Dane-EE- ya". That's also what I remember the operators calling it when I was there.

It looks like the writing is pretty much on the wall for Dania Beach Hurricane as it's most likely on the way to being razed on May 28. :(
