Help Roller Coaster Tycoon Screen Problems

So I start to play the game and it's just a dark screen. I can use all the options on the edge of the screen but I cannot see anything unless i click on night time mode. Then I can see patches of the park when I hover my mouse over them.

Any Idea's.
