On the new screen shot of the log flume there is a part under the queing line that is shaped kind of like an oval, what is it?

A part of track where the log spins itself around, sort of like the whirlpool on river rapids ride, except without the actual whirlpool

It looks like you can set up spots on the ride where you can turn the log around and send it through the course backwards.
