Just curious if anyone would like to share, if you have any, experiences of seeing performers who later became major stars...you know, when they were unknown or close to it. I have two:

Back in the early-mid 80's, I was talked into seeing a heavy metal concert in Staten Island. The headliner was a group called VENOM...and the opening act, who didn't even have an album out at the time and is still the LOUDEST band I ever saw...was METALLICA.

And in the late 80's I went to Caroline's Comedy Club at the South Street Seaport in New York to see Joe Bob Briggs, aka John Bloom, a humorous newspaper columnist, film critic, and author...one of his warm-up comedians was Ray Romano.
