Yes they do still build wooden roller coasters. They are still very popular, although many more steel coasters are built each year.

Liseberg in Sweden have a quite new wooden rollercoaster named "Balder" made 2003.

YES! Look at The Son of the Beast at paramount- the first looping wooden roller coaster!

A wooden coaster called Hades just opened up at Mt. Olympus Theme Park in the Wisconsin Dells.

Yes, in 2000, Hersheypark in Pennsylvannia built the Lighting Racer and in 1998 the Wildcat. I know a few have built in 2004, but I can't remember their names. Click on the theme park section of this site and go to every park's link to find out for yourself.

yes... ther is a new wood coaster opening soon at Holiday World called voyager.
