Below is a list of freqently asked questions about the message boards and answers for the questions.

Can I use HTML tags anywhere in my posts?

You may use HTML tags within the body of your message so long as it doesn't create an undesirable appearance or interfer with the functionality of the page. The use of HTML will allow you to place links, mirror pictures from external sources or edit the appearance of your message.

HTML tags are not allowed in the subject or e-mail fields. Inappropriate use of HTML may result in your message being removed. Please consult the Usage Policy for further details.

Why did my message not show up on the message board index?

Your message may not have shown up because your browser loaded the message board index from the broswer cache on your computer. To speed the loading of pages most browsers use a feature called a cache, which stores pages and images on your local hard disk.

To view your message you should attempt to reload the message board index and then your message should appear.

If that was not the case then your message might have contained inappropriate language. Foul language is automatically blocked by the message board software and posts containing it will be deleted.

How often are old messages removed from the message boards?

Our message boards use a database to store the messages. Messages are kept in the database so long as it does not affect the performance of the message board.

For performance reasons only the past 1,000 messages in the database may be displayed on the message board index. The remaining can be found by using the search function. You can search using keywords, phrases or enter a username to find a message.

You may adjust the number of messages shown on the message board index by setting your "Options". A link to the Options at the top of the message board index will allow you to set-up how many messages to show, the sort order and to message board index layout style.

For more information on Options read the How-To Help.
