Has anyone seen the pictures of G5 in Tawain on the front page of this site (well the link's there anyway). It looks weird seeing an Oblivion clone is different colours. Apparently there's no tunnel, and to be honest I don't know if that would enhance the ride or not.

Yes, I read that. I think the lack of tunnel will make it less intimidating (which I think is good).

Having said that, Oblivion has worked well for Alton Towers as it is.

You'd have thought that B+M would have increased the track length of G5 and given the ride a longer run-out with maybe more hills. The criticism most people have of Oblivion is that it's over before you know it. It's more of a posh free-fall than a genuine rollercoaster.
