The Dragon Kahn looks impressive on World's Greatest RC thrills. The Stampede seems like a good woodie. Does anyone have an opinion on these coasters and the rest of the park.

The Dragon Khan is an eccellent ride. IMO its the best ive been on when I visited in 97 it was smooth as glass but visiting it last week it had got noticably rougher but not to bad. I think its just general wear and tear. Stampida I never got to ride in 97 due to that unfortunate accident after it opened which is partially why they have installed trim brakes on the first drop. but they seem to be speed check brakes if its going to fast over the top of the first drop they come into play. but we were fortunate two have two runs last week with them off (riding in the back seat)but on the whole its a fun ride but does lack some speed in places

I was at Port Aventura 2 years ago, the Dragon Khan was great but its the only coaster that Ive seen people chuck up on! Stampea first drop was great but the rest of the ride has left me few memories. The Tomawhak coaster looked good but they denied me access because I was not a child! Did you see it brake coming into the station? It almost fliped of the track, ride after ride.

To me, B&M don't seem to be too bothered about creating nausea or excessive g-forces. I find Vekoma rides much nicer. They only ever pull about 2.5g.

Having been there last summer on my last European vacation, I'd have to say its one of the nicest parks outside the States. The park has some very beautiful themeing-Mayan ruins in the Mexico section, and lush tropical vegitation in the Polyanisia section to mention only two of the various themed areas of the park. DK is indeed a remarkable ride, although I like BGT's Kumba a little bit better (why no tunnel for DK?). Stampeda is a very fun racing woodie with some nice gliding airtime, but I've heard the ride was even better before some modifications were made in 98. Also, the park has some good shows and some decent water rides including the Tatuki Splash-a Shoot-the-Chutes with a volcano theme.

Stampida is great again. Those terrible breaks have been,in part, removed
