Hello there, I'm reading the excellent book "Roller Coaster" by David Bennett. I was very surprised to see (p77) a park featured that I've never heard of before. It says there is a "West Midlands Safari Park" in England, which houses "The Cobra". It looks like a standard Vekoma Boomerang. Do they have any other major rides?

By the way, what are the best coaster books? My favourites are "White Knuckle Ride" by Mark Wyatt and the one I've just mentioned. Are there any others with big, bold pictures in?

Thank you very much - Graeme.

Hi Graeme

What you have said rings a bell, but Im sure there is little else ride wise. I do know that the park is large and you can (or could) drive your car around it. Possibility for development? Although the animals come first, for good reasons.

Regards Joseph.
PS What is happening with Valhalla? Any one got any statistics or inside info?

Hi there

The cobra was a standard vekoma boomerang which i never rode but it was plagued with problems and was removed several years ago. They replaced it with a vekoma rollerskater

Thanks everyone. A lot of zoos seem to be turning into theme parks. Who's next?

Graeme.
