X-Cite

I'm looking at today's News of the World, and they are running an Alton Towers promotion. The funny thing is, there is picture of Oblivion which they call "X-Cite". They are definitely referring to its name, not describing it.

I thought that, too.Must be a newspaper error, probably getting confused with the X-sector or "HEX" maybe?Anyone else shed any light on this ??

It's still Oblivion as far as I know - it's probably a caption error. It's in the X-Sector as we all know, but if you look at the supports they have words like X-Cite on some of them. The person captioning the picture probably knows sod all about coasters and just assumed it was the ride name.

How cynical!

I'm a journalist - it's my job to be cynical!

Checked it out yesterday ... the amusement arcade adjoining the Oblivion photo kiosk & shop has "X-CITE" in big metallic letters on the front!
