Why did they get rid of The Reel at Blackpool Pleasure Beach?

I don't know the answer to that, but has anyone been on the "Tubs" ride at Great Yarmouth's Joyland? I rode it occasionally when I was young and it seems to be a childrens' Reel. I've never seen anything else like it, apart from pictures of Blackpool's full-size one.
