Are they getting a new ride this year? Any new coasters in the near future? |

They're getting a haunted swing-type ride called the Legend of the Towers. It's similar to Villa Volta or Drayton Manor's The Haunting. Though Lord knows why they would install one of these with Drayton just down the road!
There's rumours of a coaster next year or the year after. I've heard Stealth is a possibility, or maybe a B&M of some sort.

The Legend of the Towers actually looks to be quite spectacular. Apparently it uses as much of the orginal buildings as planning will alllow.

Hmm... stealth, at Alton Towers. seems like something they would do... however... if it's going to be manufactored like Nemesis or Oblivion (underground or in trenches during parts of the ride,) imagine the flying feeling except IN THE DARK!!!!
A Stealth type coaster wouldn't even be a possibility, at least for a few years, as the American Paramount themeparks have the copyright on this type of ride for a while.
